Team monitors Ordinance No. 10, s. 2003 and Ordinance No. 35 s. 2009

To Strengthen Public Participation, the Legislative Tracking and Monitoring Division is monitoring two ordinances this semester, No. 10 s. 2003, ‘Dog and Rabies Control Ordinance’ and No.35 s. 2009, ‘Agusan del Sur Livelihood and Employment Assistance Program (LEAP).

The team visited the different local government units of 13 municipalities and 1 city. There were 41 barangays randomly chosen which served as the respondents. The teams also gathered data from the Provincial Health Office, Provincial Agriculture Office and Provincial Veterinary Office.

The team which is composed of Cecile S. Pagar, Rolando E. Getes, Ursus Conrad T. Buque, Romeo M. Nesle, Julius Jayson M. Tusoy and Richard P. Sombrio used survey questionnaires and interview in gathering data, specifically from the offices of Agriculture , Health and Barangay Local Government for Dog and Rabies Control and Agusan del Sur Economic Research  and Business Assistance Services (ASERBAC) for LEAP. Beneficiaries/Partners in LEAP were also visited.
The team expected to complete the activity cycle this semester with a proposed amendment coming from the interviewed constituents of these ordinances.
